Non-formal training funded by the Ministry of Education and Sports

In the year 2011, non-formal training funded by the Ministry of Education and Sports to train 30 youth in Baking was successfully conducted. This has seen these youth handling small projects in baking and getting employed in baking projects hence improving their livelihoods.

Currently, there are another 20 students being trained in baking under the same program. They will complete their training in December 2012

In the year 2010, Soroti Rural Development Agency (SORUDA) sponsored 13 students (80% of them girls) for a tailoring course in the institute. Upon completion, each student was given a sewing machine. Tracer studies have revealed most of these students are gainfully employed will be under-taken internally in most now.
